Food Safety

CDA Products Limited are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in the manufacture of our low‑risk edible decorations and edible labels. Made from edible wafer paper and printed with edible ink, our products are designed to be safe, functional and aesthetically pleasing.

We follow stringent hygiene procedures at every stage of production, from sourcing raw materials to final packaging and despatch, ensuring our products are safe for consumption and meet the highest food quality standards.

As a small business, we previously held SALSA accreditation for many years. However, recent changes to the SALSA standard introduced requirements that placed disproportionate financial and administrative burdens on very small, low‑risk manufacturers like us. Our products are simple, ambient‑stable edible wafer decorations, and the expanded SALSA criteria went far beyond what is necessary to ensure they are produced safely and hygienically. Continuing under the new standard would have made our products uneconomic to manufacture, so we chose not to renew our certification.

Despite this, we still maintain a full internal Food Safety and HACCP manual based on the relevant SALSA practices and controls that are appropriate to our product type and scale of operation. Our commitment to food safety is unwavering, and every member of our team is thoroughly trained and adheres to these guidelines. This manual is the cornerstone of our operations, guiding us in maintaining a clean, controlled environment and a consistently safe product.

To support our rigorous food safety practices, we utilize advanced software to meticulously record and monitor every aspect of our operations. This software tracks our adherence to food safety protocols and documents the thorough training our staff undertake. We believe in transparency and open communication with our customers, providing detailed specifications for all our products.

Your confidence in our edible decorations and edible labels is our top priority, and we are proud to offer merchandise you can trust.
